A good friend once said to me- ” There is nothing more erotic than a storm”. I guess those are pretty good words to live by. I enjoy talking on the phone in the dark.

So today was to begin my tribute to the olympics , with different country hats until the  closing ceremony. It is kind of on the same theme, but I wanted to make special tribute to my favourite olympian- Daria Joura. She was a chance in the gymnastics, but was ‘floored’ by an injury in the team event. She still ’stuck it’ out and helped to ‘vault’ Australia in the gymnastics team final, so here’s hoping that they can really ‘pommel’ the competition. She was originally from Siberia…and this is my headwear related homage.

Seriously, why? They are so dang good. If wasn’t so completely stupid and possibly the worst idea ever thought of by a human being, I would seriously consider calling my son or daughter “Cheesymite Scroll”.  I also like Fresh Cream Donuts, but calling a child that is just rediculous. Imagine the kind of name-calling that they would have to endure in school! No Thanks!

It’s mid year and the nominations have just come in. There has been a late flurry of contenders for the “Tool of the year” award for 2008. Most recently it was the guy that overtook me in a 1 lane intersection, then flipped me off.  I’m not sure who is going to win! It’s ever so exciting!! There are still a few days left, and I am sure people are just chomping at the bit to screw me over…so let the games begin!!

So, my memory doesn’t work. Simple as that. First day I have missed since this amazing journey began. So here it is… a day late. Which makes this post even more confusing. I had an idea to make a post celebrate the US independence day, and well due to the time difference, I would make it on the 5th of July. But now it really is the 5th of july in the US! Can’t you just taste the hilarity of the situation?!

Things seem to go in patterns. Unemployment, depression, hunger and television.  I base my entire life on my brother’s. His first car was a mini, so my first car was a mini. I took note of when he became unemployed and did the same thing when I was that age. I pretended to like Johnny Cash at the same time he liked Johnny Cash. So 6 years ago he got a gf and now I feel as though I should do the same.

So today is the second in a long line of hats for Matt and seeing as today is casual Friday, I thought his hat needed to be adjusted accordingly.
