Well it’s that time of the decade again! That’s right, The Rugby World Cup. The REAL Rugby World Cup. I’m off to the PNG vs NZ game this evening, and I’m 100% behind the Kumuls! They are inspiration to me and to their entire nation! I suspect a big crowd and a big win for the Pingers!

So it’s still Thursday and I feel like predicting what today’s (Friday) post will be. Something like this I imagine…
It turns out that playing Indoor Cricket and walking 5 km’s to work on a sprained ankle is not the best idea ever! I am in so much (future) pain! Ahh the pain…etc. Also, my lame co-worker won an Ipod and some binoculars! Such a joke. When I am I going to win something??

Sometimes I google image search to find a particular “theme” I am going for. Guess today’s theme…..

That’s right it’s “I hurt my ankle playing volleyball, and it really hurts!” Google images really captured what I was going for!

As the title may suggest, it’s late. Turns out that after years of abusing my body clock, it has finally given up the ghost! I’m not sure whether it needs new batteries or a new band or something, I mean I am a Tag Heuer after all. All these years of going to bed at 3am and getting up at 11, have apparently come to an end…who woulda thought.

Exercise regime started again.
Want to stop.
My body is not built for this.
I don’t want illegal drugs, but surely there is something I can take that will help me lose weight? I’m pretty sure that bone shaving and organ reduction are too risky atm. But maybe when the technology improves.

I think your bruise was understated
‘Cause you can’t feel this anymore
It’s getting bluer and you can’t keep faking
That you can’t feel this anymore
In other words, this bruise around my middle finger is really impeding my current fascination of the yo-yo.

So, I was enjoying a nice afternoon eating chicken wings, cookies and home-made sausages (yes, in that order), when I had to go to Indoor Cricket. Well, it was the grand final so I figured that I should probably go along and lend a hand. I get there to find that the team that we are playing against decided not to show up but instead sit at home and watch Bathurst. Epic Fail.

So in the past 24 hours I have attended a ‘professional’ basketball game (probably the worst one ever played), played multiple games of the newly released NBA Live 09 and played an actual game of basketball. It seems as though I have contracted some sort of basketball fever, anyone have the prescription?

I bought a cricket bat. You might think it was overkill, as I only play once a week and I am terrible at batting. I want to be like one of those kids who have all the best gear and think they are the best, and then they cry when they lose. So apparently you have to “knock them in”, which unbeknown to me involves hitting the bat for 8 hours with a mallet or a ball on a stick. I mean I do some things that blatantly waste time, but even that’s outta my league.

Beijing! Oh deer. What a crazy whirlwind 24 hours it has been! We worked out that it was 2 planes, 8 trains, 3 buses and 1 taxi-ride, yes Taxi Ride (Get set everybody…we’re on our way). We’ve covered like 2500 kms and it really does feel like it. Pretty over Beijing and it’s public transport that’s for sure. The “main event” was far overshadowed by the other games that were on, and well Jon Stevens didn’t exactly float my boat. I was also disappointed in the sheer lack of crowd participation during Living End’s “White Noise”…like no-one was doing the echo (see post title). However people seemed to know all the words to Manly Manly Manly Manly (sung to the tune of Olê Olê Olê Olê). But it was free, and something to remember for quite some time, thankfully Purikura washed away any possible bad taste that Sydney may have left in my mouth and my feet.
