It’s official. 1984 is finally here, and about time too. It’s only 24 years late, but like they always say…”24 years too late is better than never”. Now when you jokingly say that you can see someone’s house as you pretend to stalk them over the internet, you really can. I mean at least you can tell them what kind of car they have, their number plate, the colour of tiles on their house and whether or not they hang their underwear on the inside part of their clothesline or not (thanks google for that one). So yeah Google street level maps went live today for Australia, and well the most exciting news is that my name-sharing workmate made it on there! It’s his new claim to fame.

How awesome was yesterday. All the phonez/internetz/mobiles with Optus went out! I tell you, if Matt Damon was in charge of Optus, something like this would never/could never have happened. I thought it was the end of the world! 15/7/08…can’t you see, don’t you see the numbers. It’s all so significant.

It’s nice when you turn on your computer and know that it’s not going to take 12 minutes for it to boot up. I can sleep safe at night knowing that my computer won’t spontaneously combust anymore, well except if it gets too hot from it’s awesomeness. My computer needs a name. A nice name. Suggestions?

I feel like a nerd. Due to recent complications with my 6 year old computer, I decided that it was time for an upgrade. I mean it’s only fitting to spend some money on the best friend that I have in the world, every once and a while. I guess it all means that this blog will be 100x better and will be 10x more awesome! So I raise my empty 500ml bottle of FM Chocolate milk as a toast to my new computer, may it bring me great happiness, years of good friendship and an email inbox that runneth over!

As you may have read, I am attempting to build teh internetz. It’s been a new part of what I do both as a human being and as an employee. I have been “getting around” if you know what I mean, spending time with multiple “browsers” every day. It turns out it’s the only way to find out if you are “any good”…

This is my ode to the browser “Opera” and it was the hat I found when I typed “opera hat” in to google.

I recently saw the movie- 21. It made me realise that I am probably not cut out for a career in card counting. It has really put a dent in my self esteem today, and as most people know Thursday is not a great day for my self-esteem. But if anyone is keen to hit up the casino this weekend, I’ve got this system….

Things seem to go in patterns. Unemployment, depression, hunger and television. I base my entire life on my brother’s. His first car was a mini, so my first car was a mini. I took note of when he became unemployed and did the same thing when I was that age. I pretended to like Johnny Cash at the same time he liked Johnny Cash. So 6 years ago he got a gf and now I feel as though I should do the same.
