I guess they always say that good things come in threes, hence the title of today’s post. I figured that maybe I should do a monthly recap of each month’s goings on on the last day of each month. It probably won’t last and I’ll forget, just like I forgot who played Dana Sculley in a game of trivial pursuit I played today. Don’t worry Ben, I still won. And now that has taken up all the space that “they” allow me to write each day, maybe I will recap tomorrowz.

The title of this post is a line from a  yet to be released Bazan song called Please Baby Please  that can only be found on concert bootlegs. Needless to say, it has been going through my head ALL day. As comforting as his new material is, it has been having another effect which has me dreaming of Atlanta and all of it’s goodness. I wish I could go there tomorrow, or if there were no flights tomorrow, perhaps Monday. I really do think I could justify putting it on my credit card for some reason. Why am I so keen to pack up and visit Hotlanta?

Scootergate has hit like day 23. Things are BLEAK. Turns out they don’t believe in stocking any parts in Australia. ZERO PARTS. Why? WHY? I’m thinking next time I should just buy the Holden Commodore of scooters, that way I know they can always get parts, or I can steal them from a broken down one on the highway. So I have to spend the entire weekend at home again! Any ideas on how I could amuse myself? No, I didn’t think so.

What can I say? When your only reader submits a hat for Matt, you are kind of obliged to put it up, right? Right? I think we all know the answer to that is a resounding ‘yes, I suppose so’. So this one is for you “Ben” of “Doonside”, I hope you enjoy your 5 minutes of fame on possibly* the worlds greatest blog.

My workmate currently has some form of pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (fingers crossed), but this is based on my 20 minute Internetz research this morning.  He is on this stuff called “Irish Moss”, which I am led to believe has hallucinogenic properties. There is nothing on the labelling to suggest this, but there is nothing on the labelling to suggest that it doesnt either. He claims that it’s medicinal and it is also has storng links to success in love and fanances. I say , “Just because Bono swears by it, doesn’t mean you should.”

As you may or may not have noticed there is a page on the right where you can now submit your own hat for matt. It’s pretty darn exciting. I know how all of you out there have awesome photo-editing skillz, so why not show me what you got!

Today’s post goes out to Venezuela. Dalia Contreras Rivero tied for bronze in the 49kg Taekwondo to claim their sole medal at the beijing Olympics. Good for her! I bet she kinda feels like I do today…I mean it’s Monday and that sucks, and well she won a bronze. No, that makes no sense, she is an olympic medallist and I have nothing except this empty White Knight packet and minty breath.

Scootergate is really taking it’s toll. I looked in the cupboard today to realise that there was nothing in there that resembled a ‘meal’. Sure there were components- hot choc mix, peas and a giant candy cane- but nothing that could be even remotely assembled. I had pasta and mince, so I started boiling water, only to realise I had no pasta sauce. Things are that dire that I even had to walk to the shop for bread, which is no easy feat if you know where I live. Feels like I’m living back in mother Russia.

My friend said that “we will win 5 gold medals today”. I wanted to make sure I wrote that somewhere where people could see it. If this happens then surely this will be the greatest blog ever created! I mean it probably already is, but this would really validate my outlandish claims. Oh and I know what you are thinking..”why havent I see you around the traps lately???”.  That’s cause ScooterGate is up to like day 18. Yeah, I know.

It’s really quite sad when you realise that your completely rediculous idea that you thought no-one would even follow through on…has already been done. This was part 2 of yesterday’s hairbrain schemery post. I really wanted to have a Pros and Cons website where people could write down their list and see which was better, cause paper is soo outdated and seeing thingz on the internetz make them more realz. You could then publish your list and people could comment on it. If the pros and cons were the same or if you needed advice- I would email them and tell them what to do. But someone already has this idea, well kinda- it’s more like Yahoo Answers then a “Public personal confessional opened up to be rediculed by the world”. I think I might still do it. Also, I may need people to give advice, so if you are keen, leave a comment and give me some good advice.
